Vincent Ingram (Traveler 001), played by Enrico Colantoni, is first traveler. He was sent back to September 11, 2001, where he was supposed to take over the body of a stockbroker named Anthony Corrigan. Instead, by mistake, he took over the body an IT worker working in the World Trade Center just prior to the September 11 attacks.

His original mission was to travel back to the 21st Century as a proof of concept, then die so no one could trace him.

He then proceeded to go off mission by not dying. He made his way to the pacific northwest, meeting with a man named Oliver North, a tech millionaire. Viceent feed Oliver predictions that helped Oliver to predict market trends and build a company that amassed a large amount of wealth.

He speaks to a psychiatrist, confessing the truth about what he has done.

In this new life as Vincent Ingram, he had a son with a women named Irene. She took a picture of Vincent and sent it to her friend, proving to the director that Traveler 001 was still alive and had not killed himself like he was supposed to. Because of this photo, a message was sent back to the 21st via Irene to contact Vincent. Messages being sent through an adult has a 40% change of killing the adult messenger, and Irene was killed.

In another flashback, Vincent is seen talking to his business partner, Oliver. Oliver wants to sell the company and Vincent's "predictive software" when Vincent admits that there is no software and it is purely Vincent that is making the predictions (because Vincent is from the future). Oliver uses a cell phone in the vicinity of Vincent in a moment of frustration. The FCC had tapped Oliver's phone because their company was under investigation due to their success in predicting the market, and GPS and voice recognition from Oliver's phone allowed the director to find Vincent once again. The director used Oliver as a messenger to tell Vincent that he was outside mission parameters and that self-termination was required immediately.

Because of the events that have happened, Vincent has built up his defenses to thwart other travelers from traveling back and finding him.

Since these events, Vincent hunts travelers sent back, tortures them, interrogates them, ultimately kills those travelers.
