Van Huizen Corporation is a business with interests in antimatter generation. It has a research and containment facility in Washington, USA.
Overview[]
Van Huizen has a research agreement with the US Military, antimatter research and possible weaponization applications in exchange for funding. Dr. Delaney is the chief scientist on the issue while her focal person in the military is Major Gleason.
The corporation's Washington facility has at least 28 buildings. They have an antimatter storage unit capable of storing the material indefinitely in building 26, which is adjacent to the taller building 28. The storage unit is serviced by several backup power generators that can run for a few hours. The premises is staffed with in-house security guards with strict ID requirements. However, their systems are vulnerable to remote surveillance and hacking.
History[]
According to the historical record, antimatter transported by the military from the Van Huizen facility exploded en route, killing 11,000 people. The military blamed Delaney for the incident, and her disagreeable personality didn't help exonerate her in the history docs. In actuality, Gleason was just eager to weaponize the available antimatter regardless of risks, and used the excuse of a blackout to bring the material back to their base. Their faulty containment unit allowed too many matter-antimatter collisions, and coupled with the road vibrations caused the explosion.

The Core Traveler Team prevents the historical explosion by stealing the antimatter into their own portable unit and replacing it with a conventional bomb, greatly limiting the blast instead of the expected megaton-range swathe. However, due to unforeseen circumstances they are forced to return the antimatter back to the Van Huizen facility.
To minimize the number of potential casualties they instigate a coolant leak in building 26 and pose as cleanup agents from Futura Reclamation. Delaney waits for them there, thinking Gleason sent them to steal her research, but when she hears the story she allows them to move the material back in. However, Gleason arrives seeking an explanation for the blast discrepancy, forcing Delaney to lie about Van Huizen never having produced antimatter in sufficient amounts in order to send him away quickly. The Major accepts the ruse but believes the research is solid. He leaves, and the antimatter is secured on time. (S1E02: Protocol 6)
The antimatter is supposed to power an x-ray laser that will prevent the asteroid Helios-685 from colliding with Earth. Because of said unforeseen circumstances, the Travelers are forced to conduct the operation at Van Huizen grounds, which will destroy the facility. They neutralize the guards nonlethally and replace them with their own to keep outsiders off the premises, additionally jamming police and military signals to not rouse their interference.
Charges are set at pipes outside building 24 in an effort to control the spread of poison gas that will blow toward the city after the facility's destruction. When the pipes explode, vehicles are parked near the leak to prevent curious people from snapping images or vids. However, non-Traveler first responders keep coming to the scene and are continually rebuffed by Traveler personnel. When the second charge creates a much bigger explosion, Carly Shannon uses it as an excuse to send all non-essential personnel away. And finally, the laser is installed at the roof of building 28, above the antimatter containment unit that will power it.
Delaney's assistance is again required since she put a biometric lock on her storage unit. However, Gleason took her for interrogation. Grant MacLaren retrieves her, brings her back to the facility, and divulges the truth of their activities to her. She acquiesces, and escapes with MacLaren's team before they get caught in the blast. Gleason and his men belatedly follow to Van Huizen, where they are turned one by one into Travelers to activate the laser and complete the mission, annihilating the facility in nuclear fire.
