Travelers Wiki

This unidentified individual served in Vincent Ingram's security detail, acting as a doorman in mundane settings and as a henchman for situations that required violence or killing. This tall man was mute and mainly glowered or used sign language to communicate with people.

After Vincent's initial therapy session with Dr. Katrina Perrow, the tall man brought her cellphone and cash payment over to her car, as his employer was paranoid with surveillance and digital transactions. His knocking startled Perrow, who was still reeling from what she had just heard from her patient. (S2E01: Ave Machina)

Sometime later, the tall man acted as a concierge as Grant MacLaren arrived at Vincent's property. Through a tablet he instructed the FBI agent to relinquish his weapons and electronic items to be granted an audience. The latter grudgingly complied and signed if he should also leave his pants, which the tall man found amusing.

Vincent already knew the Travelers were investigating him, and later instructed the tall man and several other henchmen to take positions around the Core Traveler Team's Ops and eliminate them before they do the same to him. He rescinded the order after a messenger possessed his son Taylor and ordered him to stop. Grant also received a messenger telling him to cease pursuit of Ingram, and while leading the hapless child away he glimpsed several black SUVs departing the scene; the tall man was in one of them, staring as he drove away. (S2E03: Jacob)

One day, the tall man was ordered to guard a desolate part of the woods in the hinterlands of the Washington state. He was to prevent any interference while an assault team killed the Travelers who were supposed to retrieve a meteorite that was due to crash at the location. In the initial timeline he encountered nothing while the assault team succeeded in their mission.

The Director kept redoing the sequence of events leading to the deaths of MacLaren and his team due to the importance of the meteorite to the future, continuously sending Travelers to warn Grant's team against the ambush. Carrie, possessed by Traveler 5001, encountered the tall man in his blockade and tried to act like a lost tourist. The tall man gestured for her to go away and raised his gun to get her to take the hint. Carrie attempted to evade him, but he managed to wound her with his assault rifle. Once he saw she went down, he went back to his post.

Two iterations after this, Carrie, now possessed by Traveler 5003, baited the tall man into approaching her car with sign language, then threw a knife at his shoulder before running away. The man pulled out the knife and went to his vehicle to pursue, but along the way he was blocked by a logging truck. He blasted his car horns repeatedly to get the truck moving. Ultimately he still caught up with Carrie, gunning her and Grant down while the assault team killed the others.

After several more iterations where the tall man encountered no Travelers, Carrie's brother Wayne was selected to continue the Protocol Alpha mission as Carrie was overwritten too many times to be of use. Wayne opted to use a dirt bike to avoid confronting the tall man, though the henchman noticed him and moved to pursue. The tall man's car was blocked again by the logging truck, so this time he sprayed the driver with bullets and used his corpse to move the truck out of the way. Ultimately the tall man still arrived at the site faster than Wayne, and shot him before he could warn the other Travelers.

In the final iteration of the timeline, two Travelers were sent, one to Wayne and one to the trucker killed by the tall man. The trucker, being much closer in location to Grant's team, preemptively eliminated the tall man then delivered the warning himself while Wayne arrived just in time to witness the Travelers repel the scuba-clad ambushers.
