Tactician is a role designated to Travelers in a typical five-person team. While most Travelers have fighting skills, Tacticians specialize in it, being equally deadly armed or unarmed. They direct the team in situations that require resolution by stealth or force, and are often the "muscle" if the situation devolves into an altercation. They are trained extensively in warfare-related skills, including urban sniping, and they are expected to know their weapons very well.
Outside of the five-person team, there are several Traveler units that operate similar to Tacticians but are not explicitly labeled as such. The Church of Our Rapture is composed of elderly people, all of whom received weapons training for their one and only job providing security during the Helios-685 mission.
