Mr. Morrissy is a physics teacher at Lester High School. He suspects Trevor Holden cheated on the midterm exam due to his questionable score, figuring he somehow got his hands on the answer key.
Morrissy expressed this concern to Trevor's guidance counselor Grace Day, who summons the boy to her office to talk about it. Morrissy wanted to give Trevor a zero, but agreed to let him retake the test under his and Grace's personal observation.
Trevor initially agrees, but fails to appear on the 3:00 PM appointed time because of Aaron Donner's Traveler trial. 30 minutes afterward, Morrissy angrily leaves Grace behind as he doesn't want to miss dinner with his kids while the "ex-football star had better things to do." Consequently, Trevor is suspended for two weeks, two teachers don't want him back in their classes (one of whom may be Morrissy), and his parents Gary Holden and Patricia Holden decide to send him to military boarding school.
