Travelers Wiki

Dr. Mori is a surgeon working in the ER of Coastal Cross Memorial Hospital.

When Trevor Holden and Grace Day's injuries caused them to be admitted to the hospital, Dr. Mori and his coworkers perform the operation to seal up their wounds. Afterward, Mori talks to Gary Holden and Patricia Holden regarding Trevor's status. He knows little other than Trevor was involved in a shooting. Because a bullet lodged close to Trevor's spine, Mori tells the Holdens their son will pull through but he worries Trevor might not be able to walk again. (S2E01: Ave Machina)

Fortunately, the doctor tests Trevor over the next days and finds that some feeling and movement have returned in his legs, indicating recovery. Mori shares the teen's elation and high-fives him before going off to contact the Holdens as per Trevor's request. Unknown to him, during the operation Derek slipped into the room posing as a surgeon and secretly injected Grace with medical nanites, which she shared in turn with Trevor at the cost of quadrupling her own recovery time. (S2E02: Protocol 4)

Sometime later, a female "Jane Doe" is admitted to the hospital in the evening following a car accident. Mori assesses her condition after the initial MRI and EEG, recommending the relief of cranial pressure building up in her head with or without next of kin permission before leaving. However, when he returns he finds that the woman somehow disappeared from the hospital despite massive injuries and an induced coma. Mori checks the surveillance footage himself and discovers that it froze up for some reason. The next morning, FBI agent Grant MacLaren questions the doctor about the event, and Mori tells him everything he knows. Because it's a highly unusual occurrence, the doctor asks Grant to share updates if anything comes up. (S3E04: Perrow)

Trivia[]

  • Numerous actors in Travelers also had roles in the Stargate franchise, both of which had Brad Wright as an executive producer. Haig Sutherland portrayed Hunter Riley in Stargate Universe.
  • Mori's name is only clearly seen in the episodes' credits as his ID prop is too small to be viewed in detail and not even given focus in the first place.
