Hank Donald is the owner of a landscaping company who briefly interviews Carly Shannon for a job as a landscaper. Upon learning that she's a fast learner who can successfully lift a weighted bag, he tells her to come in at 7am the following morning. He seems polite and accommodating throughout the interview.
However, Hank receives the results of her background check later that day and learns that Carly has been charged with assaulting a police officer, disqualifying her for the position. When Carly arrives for her first day Hank lies at first, saying the company no longer needs a new landscaper. When pressed, Hank tells Carly what he found on her background check. He seems incredulous that she didn't disclose this detail during her interview.
Carly is later shown to have a job in the landscaping field; whether Hank gave her a second or whether she works for a different company is never specified.
