Futura Reclamation (FTRA) is a fake cleaning service used by the Core Traveler Team to infiltrate Van Huizen Corporation. It claims to have been in business since 2003. Its "assets" include at least five vans bearing its logo on the side.

The "company" is set up in a hurry, as the Travelers need to return Van Huizen's antimatter in less than five hours. The first iteration of the company logo is named FTRA Reclamation and its credentials, fabricated by Philip Pearson, fail to pass the security checks at the Van Huizen gate. They are only waved through by convincing acting from Carly Shannon. Two vans, one large and one small, are used in this operation.

Weeks later, the cleaning service is used again in a Traveler mission on the same premises. Four vans, three black and one white, are used this time, with some still bearing the old FTRA logo while the white one uses Futura Reclamation. The extra vans are composed of Traveler personnel who replace the facility's security after they're sedated by MacLaren's team. (S1E02: Protocol 6, S1E06: Helios-685)

Trivia[]

  • The service's name appears to be a multilayered reference. Firstly, Travelers came from the future. Secondly, Futura is a font also used as the typeface for the company logo. In Stargate Universe, another show where Travelers creator Brad Wright is an executive producer, Futura is a country jokingly referred to by other characters as named after the font.
