The FBI Team is a group of Travelers that resulted from the overwrite of Faction members within the FBI. Composed of agents originally overwritten through the quantum frame, all of them having the same job allows them to function as a cohesive unit. Wakefield holds the highest authority following his host being the boss of the FBI office they work in. Traveler 4991 notionally belongs to this group owing to their shared origin, although he's not seen participating in known missions after his arrival. (S2E01: Ave Machina, S2E06: U235)

Traveler 5001 calls Wakefield to mobilize FBI assets to help the Core Traveler Team, who are about to die to an ambush in about 17 minutes. Even if the mission is dubbed Protocol Alpha, Wakefield cannot comply as the nearest available reinforcements will not physically arrive there in time. (S2E07: 17 Minutes)
Security Detail[]
After the kidnapping of the MacLaren team's loved ones and friends, the FBI team provide security and interrogation services at a safehouse, additionally enlisting non-Traveler personnel unaware of the real objectives. They're there to ensure the integrity of the cover stories following the administration of memory inhibitors to protect the core team's Protocol 5 lives. However, the Travelers were already under surveillance from government agencies: the non-Traveler agents are pulled out to pave the way for liquidation of "compromised" FBI personnel and whoever else is at the safehouse. The outnumbered Travelers prepare for a fight against elements of the military, though FBI Director Stevenson rescinds the order at the last moment. (S3E01: Ilsa)
