Drake was an orderly at the mental ward of Coastal Cross Memorial Hospital. Nominally he worked for the supervisor of the ward Dr. Carroll, but he took more orders from Vincent Ingram, a billionaire who used the ward for his own research ends.
Drake had a vile personality unbefitting an employee of a mental institution. He worked with Ted, a fellow orderly his junior who treated the patients with more respect. When Marcy Warton was scheduled for a session with Ingram Drake barely considered her consent and dragged her off to treatment anyway, telling Ted he shouldn't have made unenforceable promises (Ted promised no treatments for the day) and threatening his job to underscore the point.
Sometime later, Drake warned Marcy to deny she used to work there while feeding her. The mentally disabled girl persisted, so Drake tried to feed her more forcefully. Ted saw the action and warned he'll report Drake, but the latter accused Ted of leering at Marcy's ass whenever she walks away - Drake noted it was indeed "nice." Ted threatened to take the matter to Dr. Caroll, but Drake was unconcerned and dared him to do it while Drake's feeding his "hot little girlfriend." Ted punched him for the insult and Drake punched back in response: Drake additionally fired the former and told him not to bother signing out.
It turned out Marcy wasn't originally mentally challenged and was indeed a fellow orderly at the ward. She signed some papers to be part of Ingram's research, but had second thoughts and tried to back out. Drake prevented her from escaping and strapped her to Ingram's machine, which destroyed her faculties and reduced her intellect considerably.
After the initial session, Drake noted Marcy didn't even recognize him and Ingram partly explained Simon Teller was working to fix the issue. Drake was incredulous at hearing a mental patient was doing the job, but Ingram made his concerns go away with a thick envelope of money. Drake suggested additional measures to ensure nobody learned about Marcy, like moving patients to other wings, though he pointed out some staff might still remember Marcy. Ingram tasked him to do whatever's necessary to fix the problem: bribe the susceptible or get rid of the others.
Following Ingram pulling out of the mental institution years later, it is unknown if Drake survived the budget cuts and continued working there, or otherwise.
