Prologue[]
Around 7:59 PM, Grant MacLaren is recording a video confession of his Traveler nature and activities, directly addressing his wife Kathryn MacLaren.
001 Sets the Board[]

Grant drives to the set of coordinates provided in Katrina Perrow's kidnapping video and meets with Vincent Ingram. Vincent claims he's tired of running and will submit himself to the Director's judgement in return for his son's safety. However, Grant is not in any position to honor deals of that nature. Vincent has anticipated this and pulls out a tablet showing Kat being held hostage at an undisclosed location. Before leaving, Vincent warns Grant to stay out of his way if he wants to see his wife again.
Grant updates the team in Ops about the meeting, who caution that perhaps Vincent was bluffing as he's known to have faked videos before. Grant's sure Kat has been really kidnapped but will verify by going to her place, and warns the team to check on their loved ones as well. Marcy Warton calls David Mailer, but he's not answering. Carly Shannon calls Jeff Conniker, and he's not answering either. Trevor Holden calls Gary Holden, who reports he and his wife are fine. Philip Pearson is sure he isn't close to anyone, and just looks at his pet turtle Poppy in her terrarium nearby.
Returning to their homes, Carly, Marcy, and Grant find their places deserted and/or trashed with no sign of their loved ones. The next day, Grant decides to involve the FBI and suggests to Wakefield that they initiate an inter-agency task force against Vincent. However, Wakefield is apprehensive as the government has been quietly investigating Traveler activities, only avoiding direct action because they are unsure of the consequences. Grant using NSA resources when his team went missing was a contributing factor, and Wakefield says they cannot afford any deeper scrutiny.

Philip comms Grant that he has pinged the missing people's phones, all last known to have transmitted from the same place 3:28 PM yesterday. The team minus Philip converge at an empty warehouse and find five phones at a table, in front of a television. Trevor recognizes Grace Day's phone. The TV turns on, and starts issuing Vincent's admonishments.
Perrow's Psych Sessions[]
Vincent cuts Perrow's restraints and apologizes for the treatment she received during the removal of her comm yesterday. Vincent promises Perrow her daughter Ava will see her mother again, but first he needs her to do something for him.

Five of the Core Traveler Team's loved ones are confined in a small room: Kat, David, Jeff, Grace, and Ray Green. David recognizes Ray as the attorney who helped him out of a legal jam, and Jeff as a cop who once talked to him about Marcy's stunt beating hooligans, but apart from that, everyone is a stranger to each other and dumbfounded about their circumstances.
All of them are subjected to one-on-one sessions with Dr. Perrow, and made to confront the truth that the people they thought they knew have been taken over by strangers who time traveled from the future. Grace, who's already a Traveler, is subjected instead to Vincent's Traveler interrogation questions, only with Perrow asking them. She answers flippantly, but realizes she's been made when Perrow identifies her directly as Traveler 0027. In between sessions, Ray and Jeff conspire to overpower their guards, but are repeatedly intimidated by their size and/or numbers, and never carry out their plan. Grace pretends to be a simple guidance counselor, but expresses her skepticism by employing scientific jargon beyond her job's ken.
Confession Time[]
Kat has been coerced into making a video demanding Grant confess to his Traveler nature. Grant is reluctant as it goes against everything he trained for. Philip suggests using a rootkit virus to be embedded in Grant's confession video that will enable the team to trace where it goes and corrupt it upon arrival, so Grant concedes to the plan. However, the plan fails as Vincent is aware of the tampering in MacLaren's recording. A battered and bruised David next appears on video, demanding everyone else on the team to make confession videos of their own or the hostages die.

With little choice in the matter, the team complies. Vincent disseminates the confession videos to the internet, targeting government and media outlets. He sends the team clues to possible coordinates, wanting them to work out the hostages' location. Meanwhile, Beth Sanders shows Grant a news report about Travelers with his photo on it. Wakefield is swamped deflecting calls questioning about time travelers from the future, and remarks this is something that isn't going away soon.
The hostages (except Grace, who's with Perrow) are all provided tablets with their loved ones' confession videos. Perrow then returns to the room with Grace and encourages the hostages to direct their questions at the school counselor, as she's a Traveler herself. Sometime later, the hostages are prepared for release as the team fully complied with 001's demands.
Philip has worked out the hostages' location and sends Grant the coordinates. However, Grant is irritated as it is the same middle of nowhere place where he and Vincent met earlier. Jeffery Conniker Jr. is handed over to his father by a henchman at the location, and later the entire team show up to collect them as well. However, the hostages are wary now that they know who their loved ones really are. Kat accuses Grant of killing her husband, David warns Marcy not to touch him, Jeff refuses to let Carly hold his son. Ray admires Philip for being straight with him from the start but acknowledges they are not friends.
001's Endgame[]

Vincent has once again employed Simon Teller to put the finishing touches on the device they started building back at the mental hospital. After surmounting some last-minute overheating problems, the device's nature is finally revealed: a consciousness transfer machine, made in complete secrecy and without anything to alert the future of its existence. Vincent assures Simon they are finally going to fix him.
While MacLaren's team are scrambling to counter or comply to his demands, 001 prepares to transfer out of Vincent Ingram, reviewing videos of significant moments in Taylor's life. After concluding the sessions with the hostages, 001 transfers his consciousness into Perrow's body and shows the hostages the confession videos, directing them to ask Grace if they have questions. The empty husk of Vincent Ingram's body is exposed by a henchman to the internet, planting a T.E.L.L. for the arrival of Traveler 5692 in the body. 001 in Perrow reviews news reports of the actions he made exposing Travelers as Vincent Ingram, before collecting Taylor and telling him they'll live together as per his father's wishes. Having assumed control over Vincent's assets and personnel, "she" has also issued orders to notify "her" once the device has been moved.
Meanwhile, Simon is still laying by the device hallucinating Vincent watching over him, thinking he will use it to get him out of his debilitating body.
